Sign-Up Instructions

Read the following instructions and information BEFORE enrolling in the course.

  • Each person who registers for the online class will need their own email address. No exceptions.
  • Co-guardians/co-conservators must register and pay separately using unique email addresses. No exceptions.
  • Law firms who register their clients will need to use the client's email address. No exceptions.
  • If you do not yet have a county/case number assigned, use "N/A" in those fields.
  • Upon successful registration and payment, you will be given immediate access to the course.
  • Users should double check that the email address is correct before completing the registration. Users should also keep their login credentials in a safe place. The Office of Public Guardian will not be able to reset passwords. No exceptions. Use the "forgot password?" feature. Wait until the email arrives to complete the password reset (it may take a few minutes - also check your spam/junk folder).
  • Upon successful registration and payment, users will be given immediate access to the course.
  • Upon completion of the course, users may download and/or print their Certificate of Completion. It is the user’s responsibility to file the certificate with the court, and/or to provide it to their attorney for filing. The Office of Public Guardian will not be able to replace a lost Certificate of Completion. Users will need to login again to generate another copy (instructions below).

Special Circumstances

In Forma Pauperis

If you have an In Forma Pauperis order, please contact the Office of Public Guardian at 402-471-2862 to request an "IFP Fee Waiver." Be prepared to mail, fax, or email a copy of the order. Upon receipt, you will receive a coupon code to access the course.

Office of Public Guardian - Successor Guardian

If you are a Successor Guardian for an Office of Public Guardian case, use the coupon code provided in your outreach materials.

Refund Policy

Refunds may be issued within 90 days of the transaction date, providing that you have not received a Certificate of Completion.

If you have received a Certificate of Completion, you may not receive a refund.

Certificates of Completion

If you have already taken the course but need to generate another copy of your certificate, follow these steps:

  • Sign in to the site with your username and password.

  • Click on your name in the top right corner and select “My Account.”

  • Click on “Certificates" in the left hand column and select "Download PDF."
